Academy - Advanced Foot Care Management

Edmonton Foot Care is proud to offer an intensive 80 hour Advanced Foot Care Management course working hand in hand with former VON nurses and educators.  The Victorian Order of Nurses is not only embedded in the fabric of our communities, but has long been thought of as the " gold standard " of Foot Care Education.

Our team possess over 60 years of experience in front-line foot care and education and now together we have created a well-rounded and comprehensive foot care program.

With teaching contracts throughout Alberta, we offer courses in: Edmonton (and surrounding areas) , Calgary (and surrounding areas ) and Red Deer.

The Therapeutic Foot Care course includes:

1 - Basic Foot Care, including foot anatomy and physiology as well as common foot disorders.

2 - Advanced Foot Care, including hands on experience with padding and Advance Foot Care tools.

3 - Relevant experience for Independent Practice and Business acumen.

4 - With 2 ½ days of practicum you will have numerous opportunities for hands on experience in Therapeutic Foot Care.  For many of us our “day jobs” find us working with clients who have Dementia/Alzheimer’s, so in order to provide you the most comprehensive learning experience we offer practicums in a variety of settings - from Community to Long Term Care [this will include working with Dementia/Alzheimer’s clients].
